Oooooh I'll bet Damien O'Brien isn't happy that the review doesn't even mention him.

I'm interested to know.......penn and teller said of the trick Piff did with the signed card transforming into the predicted card, that they had never seen that trick done before.
Had anyone here seen it before?

Yes because Pif (real name Van Der Put) has the effect released on DVD. His other DVD is good as well.

The effect is called VDP.
I bought the DVD a few years ago; never performed it though.

Agreed, Pif's and his dog were great.

I really didn't get the CD thing though. I couldn't follow where the magic was.

It was "comedy mentalism" I believe.

I agree - I can imagine this being a bit more effective in a less formal setting, but in a TV studio, even though this wasn't apparently the method used, I think most people will assume that the whole effect is being worked from the gallery.

That said, solving the problem with the ending by turning it into a prediction was a nice touch.

If the spectator doesn't engage in the effect,
then the only thing left is the method.

I hate to say that I found most of this episode a bit disappointing.

Even some of the stuff that was well executed, I felt was not really in the vein of the show. For me what makes this show interesting is the magician's partaking are trying to show an effect that is completely original and/or with such showmanship that Penn & Teller are fooled.

That said Pif was simply brilliant, I found his completely dead pan attitude hilarious, when he was eating the banana like he was bored, before handing it to Jonathan Ross - excellent!

Who is everyone most looking forward to seeing of those that remain?

Personally cannot wait for Richard Bellars and Colin McLeod, both should be excellent (I hope).

Looking forward to Chris Cox, his stuff is always great, the methods are a little transparent though, so I hope he pulls something good out of the bag!

Indeed; his iPhone prediction at Blackpool was amazing.
I like to think it was inspired by myself too.
