osterlinds watch

Postby colster_ » Jan 25th, '11, 01:15

Hey guys, iv posted this question before but still have no luck, im looking for a watch to use for osterlinds routine on mind mysteries vol 1.
I know you could use a watch with a date function but i really like how clean this effect looks with the type of watch he uses, not sure i can fully explain what i mean without exposure, but im sure lots of you will own the dvd and know what im talking about.

It's called a Swatch Watch, I'm not sure of the exact model though, although I believe there are a few models out there which work identically.

If you are worried about the date, use one with a locking stem like most mens watches, this is what I use and no-one even notices anything. The date also doesnt change either which is a plus.

Two options for you here:

1) Use a date function watch. I do. Nobody has ever called on the change of date and if they did even notice it? They've just been winding the watch... that's likely to happen anyway isn't it? (I think that's a point Looch made).

2) Don't use the long stem, use a regular watch.... it takes a little more balls and a little bit of extra 'acting' (you should realise what I mean by this, PM me if you don't) but it's fine. When selecting a particpant for any watch routine of this nature I don't mention someone having a watch. They can either use theirs (if they have one), mine or anyone's from the audience.

I've found that if they don't have a watch, perhaps 70% are happy to use mine and the other 30% use a friends, of these most don't have dates (I perform mostly for women who's watches seem to have a date function less than mens).
