Chris Beard: Mind Reader, Facebook Opener

Postby Beardy » Mar 16th, '11, 01:50

My own routine used to open my most recent shows. It normally gets a better reaction than this, but hey ho, I didn't know what she would say...

No hypnosis or stooges, and she genuinely had a free choice.

It uses a method I have never seen in print before to get the prediction on the scroll

Enjoy :)

Brilliant Chris,
As for how it's done, do people usually assume your s***?

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

No! And it isn;t my fault what she said! I have no control over the actual content of the prediction - it isn't like I force them :P

Kinda gutted actually...but the effect is there in its essence...

Excellent stuff.

The youtube comment made me giggle though:

"Stupid PUA.

Alpha males NEVER have to open women. They CALL FOR THEM.

If you're having to open, or having to impress, you have already lost the game you don't even know how to play.

Want a good opener: try "Hi," "Good afternoon," or a slight nod/tip of the hat as you say "Ladies" to a group. Women just want to be ACKNOWLEDGED. After that, let THEM make the moves."

o_O ?

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

An opener is a term from the pick-up community which is literally a way how to open a conversation with an individual or a group of them. This guy had no idea its a magic routine and thought he'd teach you how to talk to women. lol=)

People are weird.

"Pick up artists", doubly so.

Haha thanks for the response so far guys. I must admit that that response did make me smile, and definitely wasn't one which I was expecting!

With relation to the effect itself I have had a few questions thrown in my direction. Yes it is a completely free choice for the spectator. No there is no hypnosis. No I do not have to know the person. Yes this effect can be done on pretty much any kind of audience member (I cannot think off the top of my head anybody who it could not be done on...apart from a blind, deaf, or mute person!), and yes they change their mind at the last minute on stage and it works ;)

As I said - a new way of getting information onto a scroll whereby the spectator changes their mind on stage, before opening the prediction themselves! You do not have to have anybody touch the prediction, it can be in a case onstage, or even just stuck to an easal or something before the spectator unravels it :)

I hope that that wets the appetite ;)

Not at all! Unless you count a few friends of mine who were fairies in a recent "A Midsummer Night's Dream" performance....

Go on, spill, what was your theory ;)

Do they have to change their mind?? I reallllly hope not, because I seriously love this effect!

Kev

Thankyou.

And no they do not have to change their mind, but I feel it strengthens the effect if they do!
