Though I am vegetarian, I am sure my girlfriend can find some use :D
(There was originally a line here about throwing it to the 'dog', but I learn now not to read my posts while on skype to her).

I am a computer science student (so pretty much anything geeky) and a hobbyist magician, so I don't have a certain style/section I prefer.

Well i have just got back into professionally performing 'regular' magic again after a long break. Although i still do bizarre i have most of what i use. My other passion is for card magic. I suppose asking for Jennifer Love Hewitt would be too much?! I also love novelty items and have a good sense of humor.

For £10

Big thanks for Alec for organising this, well done mate

My interests are music, football, golf, film, drinking, women (!)

Everyone else, as suggested by Rob, should put up a few things perhaps?

Are you watching closely? Then I'll begin...

a new wife would be nice (own fortune preferable but not essential). :D
anything would be fine for christmass as I'm a sad lonely disabled widower with no friends (everyone say are), actualy I'm pretty happy I've just got a new van.

so anything to pimp my ride would be fun, even fluffy dice. :)

Me?

Love anything close-up magic wise, and am into Doctor Who & horror (films and books) - easy-peasy :D

-----------------------------------

WHILE ON TOPIC CAN I PLEASE ASK THE FOLLOWING, FROM THOSE WHO'D LIKE TO THANK ALEC FOR ARRANGING THIS:

As you've seen, Alec has put quite a bit of thought, time and effort into organising TM's very first Secret Santa.

As it's fallen to him to deal with the randomisation of participants, he has felt unable to include himself in the proceedings, which seems kinda' sucky to me.

If any participant in the Secret Santa would *also* like to send Alec a small pressie (say £3-5 in value, or mybe even a second-hand item from their Magical Bottom Drawer), by way of a thank-you, PLEASE DROP ME A PM, for a note of his address.

And - NO - Alec; you have NO SAY on this idea, so butt-out, before you even think about protesting

Great shout, Rob - but I would need Alec's address. Hint: send me a PM

I'm not fussed what I receive. I like football, coin/sponge/fire/everday-item magic, rock climbing and music.

Arghhhhhh! The joy is in the giving, not the receiving!

Glad you are all enjoying this. I have a feeling that as it progresses, more people will wish they had taken part. (there's always next year guys!)

:D

Oh God... :P

Well on that note, I like funny surprises! Gadgets, gizmos, and general boys toys!

Or a new stealth assassin wallet ;)

I very nearly decided to send my Secret Santa recipient a goldfish, but found that it is difficult to send them in the winter without them freezing to death en route.

So back to the drawing board!

Love

I think possibly that this would be the least of your/their problems :)

Is anyone else finding it really hard to buy something for someone you know nothing about/don't know?
Though I am finding a lot of things I want :)

Perhaps everyone should answer a quick questionnaire, maybe something like:

1) What Magical effect (at £10 our under) would thrill you the most?
2) What readily available book (at £10 or under) would Rock Your Sox?
3) What DVD or CD that you haven't already pirated...errrm..bought (at £10 or under) would give you shivers of delight?
4) What gadget or silly-billy item (at under a tenner) would give you chuckle-cramps in your cheeks (facial, not lumbar...)

Might help?
