Several experienced folk in this thread also seem to think you shouldn't, Sam; it may be worth taking their advice, young man

Brad Christian of Ellusionist fame sometimes does a T&R card as part of an ACR. He's maybe not the best role model, but it can definitely be done. He just doesn't make a very big thing of it. I just wouldn't do it though...

E's Crash Course 1 and 2 were the first proper magic DVDs I ever bought, so I'm kinda attached to them. Probably better places to learn the same material though, and with less make up!

Well Sam--there are lots of them about.

1. Colin Hughes (San Yen) published his in Abra
2. Geoffrey Buckingham described his in his lecture notes & in one of his books.

Both of these are based on what I christened 'The Fold Back Principle & once lectured on it to our Magic Club with T & Restored Newspaper, the 2 Card ones above.
A t & r Bill (Eddie Joseph), and even a 2 person mind reading act ALL based on the same principle. The original was in one of those 2 page magazines-like Phoenix must look it up. I remember it was on the cover.

3. Torched & Restored Card-- borrowed from 1 & 2 above but with the addition of a bit of selotape.! NO--not for sticking the card together
All the above can be signed.

Then there's Hugard's Magic Monthly:
Vol.5 page 360 t & r with borrowed Deck
Vol. 19 page 13 Bert Allerton's version
Vol. 21 page 38. 3 of Clubs restored.

I have all the above but used mainly 1 & 2.

The mind reading I did several times with my wife. It can be taught in 5 minutes. An idea by Ken de Courcey

i can do one but it isnt fully restord in that the last bit is ripped still any help

David Wiliamson has published a full a.c.r routine, with a double restoration at the end.
First the bits join, then teh card becomes brand new.

I second Cameron Francis' Rehab as a great T&R but it's an effect of it's own as it's so visual.
I have recently been using David Stone's 'Tool' for a T&R as it's a very quick and visual one which works perfectly in walkaround environments.

Top palm, throw 'entire' deck into a shredder, 'catch' the signed card amidst the blizzard of paper waste, crowd goes wild.

I never said it was practical. Just popped into my head as the most over the top ACR ending: The indestructible card.

The most over the top ACR ending would be taking you specator into a rocket, flying them round the moon and pointing out their signed card floating in the Sea of Tranquility. I may give it a go...
