stopping a pulse (the spectators!)

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Very possible between pros.
Like Alan Shaxon let Geoffrey Durham use his Hydrostatic Glass routine (but with a huge glass) professionally

Also he did not use any gimmicks!

Luke's method uses no gimmicks and is why I love it so much :D

Quite possibly, but it was definitely shown in last week's episode of The Mentalist.

They also explained the main three card monte move.

Luke Jermay's method from Seven Deceptions could work with a spectator as the subject, but I wouldn't care to rely on it (one step too far removed from the control of the performer for my liking).

?? It does work, there is a method for stopping your own pulse and then stopping the specs pulse, it's not 100% I'll give you that but managed right it will work.

Just curious as to which part you wouldn't rely on?

Luke's method is less likely to fail when the performer is the subject. I think you are experienced enough to know why. Also, the back-up method will not be available when trying to stop someone else's pulse. It's probably going to be OK, but if this were the crux of my performance, I'd have some concerns over reliability. We don't know what Sammy has in mind or his level of skill in this type of thing. I am probably being overly cautious, but I prefer to give advice on this sort of thing with caveats (and never take my own advice, naturally!).

I would agree also, stopping the spectators pulse using Jermay's method you would need to be an experienced and confident performer. It uses some suggestion and a lot of audience management. (if this is exposure the mods can delete or edit) but the book is expensive and if you are going to buy it just for this routine you might be disappointed (though Luke has had a lot of success with it)

I'm not a very experienced performer. but i do Lukes pulse stop method a lot and it never failed me yet..
The reason might be that i do some hypnosis as wel. but i think if you just act like it wil work, then it will.
