makes perfect sense, the name escapes me now but there has been quite a bit written on this very topic in magic, I believe it is called the 'too perfect' theory, but I'm not sure that is exactly right.

Here's my opinion.
1. There is no 'too perfect' theory if it's presented right.
2. I certainly don't think this is unbelievable.
3. Of course there is a method to this - don't just dismiss it as a camera trick, just because you only know card sleights and don't understand how stage illusions work.
4. It's amazing - I love it!

I'm gutted, where i am currently, i don't have access to 'Watch' so will miss this new series!!

regardless of whether people class him as a 'real' magician, i think he is working wonders and bringing magic back to the public conciousness!!

and to those of you who say him using stooges isn't 'real' magic, if it entertains 2 million+ viewers then i would say that is a successful magic show!!

I for one would love that amount of viewers interested in my material!

Much love

I like the guy, & I'm looking forward to the new series.

I suppose some of the stuff is a little hard to get your head around, but so was "Jurasic Park" & I enjoyed that too :D

Go for it Dynamo.

Fingers crossed the shows live up to the hype - get yourselves ready for an influx of newcomers all asking 'How does Dynamo do (insert name of effect from latest show here) ...'

The general rule is to be polite and considerate to all newcomers, depending on what and how they ask we can offer to respond or not. Not having seen the show yet I can't anticipate much but if the queries are about items which can be bought from a Dealer or learned from a book then that's all we can say - we can suggest a suitable book and perhaps name the effect but it'll be up to the enquirers to check the dealers who advertise on TM to see if that's where such purchases can be made.

In short, no aggro, no secrets, no worries!

I'll behave then :) lol

But we all know it's going to be coin in bottle, phone in bottle, ring in impossible location...levitation etc. etc.

Don't get me wrong the big D is good for magic, but it's the like David Blaine 2.0 just 10 years on.....just my two cents.....

I'd say the main rules are to be polite remembering that you are a 'newbie' yourself and that an interest in magic is what brings us all to this site.

A couple of them may just be interested enough to stick around.

Shaun.

Slightly related, but not really worth its own thread:

Dynamo Wins £10,000 by predicting exactly how Spain would win Euro 2012 [Daily Mail link, if you object]

Fair play to him, he's donating the win to The Teenage Cancer Trust.

At one time most touring magicians involved the local press when arriving in a new town for a show or two - good to see the old traditions are still in use!
