Elastic IT - Which to buy?

Postby neil_the_newbie » Aug 25th, '12, 10:35

In a nutshell - I want to purchase a spool of Elastic IT to use with a regular deck of cards (white) and was wondering which is best and is there any i should avoid? Many thanks in advance.

I'd suggest loops if you can put the time and effort in to learning how to utilise them properly, they are absolutely invisible in my opinion....

One of the first things i bought and still practice with them on a daily basis and still not performance ready in my eyes, so they do take a lot of work.....

Much love

Yeah, I don't like IT with cards, I pretty much think it is a waste of time and effort. The only exception to that is Kundalini rising by Jeff McBride. Easy to perform, used correctly the loops last a long time. It happens in the spectators hands. Any ot the haunted deck routines I've seen that don't wind up on the bottom of the junk drawer don't use IT. Helecopter card? really has no value live and its obvious. Having a card fly out of the deck make 40 revolutions in the air and you catch it? More impressive without any gimmick and pretty easy to do once you have the knack down.

Again all my opinion. Take it or leave it. As for the best thread, I don't know everybody has their own opinion. Except for Kundalini rising I don't use elastic thread so my advice is not the best.

You beat me to the punch. . . the best and most economic way to deal with it is to buy Wooly Nylon thread from your local fabric store and make your own. A spool of that stuff from the store will cost you about $8.00 (if that) and will last you for years vs. the exaggerated price asked by magic shops & so-called "specialists" that rarely do more than repackage the product in smaller quantity and higher price. . . many suppliers not even stripping it down.

That said, Paper Crane Products do offer an array of massive loops and reasonably priced spools of IT.
