Phew, we're saved!

OK, judging by the posts above, it looks like we'd have been fine anyway, but I've emailed cards4magic and received this reply:

Actually it's nice to know you don't have to glue the blades shut (though some venues may have their own ideas...?) as Joe Mogar has an amazing move where you open the blade and flick it shut, the action setting up a vanish if I recall though I've only seen the DVD once.

Maybe keep one blade unglued and leave that knife at home if you're performing in a night club or, um, a kids party.

Yes, the 4" blade: mums will love that.

Why not go to a police station and find out? Why you ask for such advice here, you won't know who is telling you what and what their knowledge is. The best bet in this or any other similiar situation is to go to the source.
