This is a definite nono - this would be like revealing IT or DLs to spectators...just because it improves the trick you are doing then, you will forever ruin any tricks with TTs or IT or DLs or whatever you're doing.
It's worse than that, actually, because spectators have a tendency to assume that if they know about DLs, say, then all tricks they see are done with DLs. This ruins the trick - even if you can prove that they're not.
Revealing a magic secret also transmits the message that your tricks are just that - tricks. It tells the audience that you're a trickster instead of a magician...and hence removes the sense of amazement that spectators feel when they see a trick. In the same way as I mentioned above, they will immediatly assume that any new tricks that you show them are done with the same method as they learn.
The only time I would accept revealing something to the specatator is when that something is not actually true...i.e. you say that you do CMH by using a gimmick band, then repeat the effect with borrowed ones. As long as there is no actual gimmick band, it's OK...
Sorry about the rant (well, strong discussion) but definitely don't reveal a TT.
