Rope for performances should be seen as a disposable item, particularly if you're being paid. I typically perform a few tricks with a piece which will involve a cut and restored and then give the rope away and move onto the next.
Personally, (and it's only my view) it's not worth the bother of bleaching and washing. You'll be asking next what temperature the iron needs to be set at
