Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

So...after digging through my magic archives / boxes, I found two pots of MW. Result! Both were dried out a little but after a bit of warming in the microwave I got them both back to a normal state. Unfortunately the stuff was still too hard.

Anywho, in one of the pots was also a blue substance - like blue tack but a little stickier...I’ve no idea if indeed it is blue tack but it works wonders. Anyone come across this before?

I’ve come up against a problem with the elastic band tying and need some advice. Karl Norman teaches this with one band (or two) around the sides of the packet. This works well in terms of the throw but getting the bands on is a little tricky. Michael Ammar's technique with 1 band across the packet corners works very well and is easier to get on and looks much less shafty, but the darn card wont stick. I’m getting plenty of spin...so what’s the problem? Does the band have to be pretty loose?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

The wax that is used to preserve cheese (E.g. baby bell) works wonders for card on ceiling.
