yeah thats kinda dumb, i really think some of the stuff he does makes you think....yeah...and that means. For example, when he froze himself in that thing. Yeah ok it was cool that he could stay in there like that but he should really stick to street magic rather than stunts that just make him look like hes doing it for attention...for my next stunt...i will hold my breath untill i get my way. I still think hes great though.

Well was freezing himself in ice a stunt or was it a trick? Ya know if you look back when he buried himself, look at some pictures, he had a perfect gotee everyday. He never grew any stubble or anything. So was it a stunt or just another magic trick.

Think about it!

<FONT COLOR="119911">No I havn't seen it maybe it's worth a look. I definately think it's a trick, or they kept it at around 30 degrees that wouldn't be unbearable after a while. I enjoy watching him but he is a little boring with that monotone voice of his, but maybe he does it to add a little mystery to himself.

Have you Noticed how big ticket stage magic is starting to get extremely stupid. There was this lady that had this floating ball on like Worlds Greatest Magic...what is it 200 now,and you could visibly see the wire, and you could see her holding on to it. Thats NOT magic and barely anyone clapped at the end. I really miss the days of Great magic on tv. But I guess it takes talent to hang on to a wire while wearing spandex, well just wearing spandex is a great feat.

Ok, i can agree that he has talent. But i think the biggest problems i have with him are:
1 First he mostly uses these tricks that you can buy if you spend a few dollars at the shop.
2 There was so much press about him being a "guru", all that kind of stuff, and all these other magicians that have much, much more talent all thrown in the gutter because they dont have a bunch of friends that can get them thier own television special.
3 If you do anything that he does, your considered a copy cat, but when he does it, he an amazing person with psychic with a folding quarter.

Yeah i may sound jealous, but i assure you im not.

Please i urge you to tell me what you think.

I just saw the newest David Blane special on abc tv last night. Does anyone have any ideas how he put his hand through the window to get back the ladies watch?

I watched David Blaine in the Carson Daily show, where he pulled out his heart. Now its not magic but rather a performance for his audience like wht he said during the interview.

What Blaine does other then other magicians is he draws your attention away better then anyone ive ever seen perform close up magic. i know most of tricks but i am still amazed at how my attention is drawn somewhere else while he performs his tricks, ive to copy some of his techniques but with no such seccess. Blaine is one of the greatest close up magicians of all time.

If you want to see good misdirection get Derren Browns "Devil's Picture Book", his long three card trick is fantastic, and even when you have watched the explaination you still miss a lot of the moves.
