More details are on magicweek.co.uk - http://www.magicweek.co.uk/ - sorry to hear your Sky setup isn't working right Rob, I had similar problems over Christmas and New Year two years ago when there were lots of magic programmes on. It's a real bummer  !

So .. tonights episode is ebbing closer,

I think that its the last in the series!? .. maybe I'm wrong, ... the lovly Lucie's last change to dazzle us with her performing skills.... fingers crossed that they havnt cut her out, and were just saving the best for last

We'll have a debate after the show.

Tonight's is the fifth show and the final one is next week. This week P&T were at their usual excellent professional best, the escapologist had me on the edge of my seat and Stuart & Barry showed once again that they can handle some super scripts, shame about the standard of magic.

Agreed - this was the best show by far and would have been better had Stuart and Barry been completely edited out.

The opening levitation sequence with Caprice was lame and the school girl in half was only slightly better. Killing Foxy was just awefull.

Pete Firman and the balloon routine was hilarious, the guy with the tennis racket was freaky and fascinating to watch, although I've seen him a few times before he still amazes me. Escapology was good this week and thankfully no hypnotist

Pen & Teller were great and the best magic so far in the whole series.

In the opening levitation sequence, it looked as though one of the oars struck the support at the back holding Caprice in the air - you could almost hear the clunk of wood on metal!

Well spotted Mandrake. There's me thinking that the wooden sound was the acting

Dirty Tricks

Postby cards » Nov 5th, '05, 01:43

Thought the escape was good.

Loved Penn and Teller.

Thought the chav with the car bit was hilarious. They made that guy out to be the idiot he really is.

Liked balloon through the nose bit. Not bothered about the swallowing. Seen everyone do that before. Still nicely done.

But Barry and Stuart though can they do magic?

Tonight's is the fifth show and the final one is next week.

The source there was the latest Magicseen mag which describes tonight's show as the fifth and then mentions the next show featuring June Whitfield as the voice of a cat, Stuart & Barry plaing Porn Dice and Peter Firman performing surgery on himself. However, next Friday's TV listsing show Peter Kay's Phoenix nights in that time slot. The sky TV guide also shows the lack of Dirty Tricks - perhaps someone from Channel 4 will see this and advise?

I definitely think this week's shows was one of the better ones. Peter Firman was on top form as usual, Jonothan was entertaining as hell and he managed to escape, Ali Cook and the car was hilarious if not that magical, I liked the contortionist (shame about the voice over at times), S & B's first effect was entertaning, Pen and Teller were brilliant, the ending was awful. Blatantly obvious in my opinion. And no Rajan! What's all that about then?

Mandrake, I'm not from Channel 4 but the TV guide this week said that this was the fifth episode and that there was one next week, but next week's doesn't have it listed - just Peter Kay and Peep Show etc. Who knows, but I doubt there'll be one next week.
