Hello Mog,

The point i was trying to make is that when Stevebo said "All comments welcome" ... he was asking for compliments and constructive Criticism, improvments to thier routines and things like that.

Like i say, I'm not looking to pick and argument with anyone.

Listen, I try not to get involved in arguments here at TM but this one really seems ludicrous as we are all arguing over nothing here!

There is a difference of opinion as to whether XCM is a part of magic. Do we have to have insults all round to back up our opinion.

Cool it folks,

:)

OK Rob, good of you to respond like that, we can always agree to differ - that's what makes TM so special IMHO  !

I apologise. I only meant it as a joke when I mentioned the mentalist thing. I think all areas of magic require alot of skill to do to a good level.

In general, I really do feel that anyone who has looked at stevebo's stuff will realise that he is genuinely a good magician and deserves praise for what he has achieved as far as magic skill goes. I just don't see why we should have to argue over him deciding to share something a little different with us. His control over cards can certainly do him no harm in his magic performances. After all it is vaguely related to magic and it's not like he's sharing clip of him and his family on the beach during their last family holiday. There was a purpose to it.

And why has this argument not erupted in Katrielalex's "How Not To" post? Surely this is not magic either.

Just to set the record straight, stevebo's stuff is more than good, it's excellent and very skilled - there was a diiferrence of feeling of where such skills fit in with a 'magic trick' but that seems to be sorted and there is always room here for well presented and relevant opposing opinions. I mentioned the mentalists names, perhaps with tongue slightly in cheek like you did, just to offer a different point of view. The reason this hasn't carried over into the other post you mentioned is probably because all that is clearly spoof and nobody take it as a serious demo of magic. I hope! The origin of all that was where someone was asking the usual 'How do you do that trick where.....' question and the vids were a light hearted response.

What's diplomatic mean? lol.... not very good at English.... Only got a D in Eng Lit in GCSEs...

Oh, although I said I was going to keep out of this arguement, I would just like to make one point.

Where do you find flourish DVDs and tutorials usually? You would usually find them on a site that sells magic. And many flourishmen are also magicians. I would think that almost ALL flourishmen do at least some magic. (Which I do a lot of)

Yep .. i would agree with you on that point stevebo.

I have an old Brian Tudor DVD sat here which is based solely on flourishing ... and he introduces himself as "Brian Tudor, I'm a magician"... he then fills you in on his magical background. He describes the DVD as "Pure Eyecandy" and says that it is "Alot of fun" ...

I'm sure you are right, I'm sure there arnt many people that only focus on flourishing, its all based on cards ... its like I'm sure that most professional poker players can perform a load of tricks with boths cards, chips and coins.

Not sure what you mean.

Watch the video again and tell me the move number in the order in which it appears.
