Hmm yes this is my problem at the moment but I have only just started practicing it so I guess there will be niggles. Yeah I find that i cant get enough grip on the second card and so i end up pressing harder and bringing more out...

I used to do that, but if you don't press as hard when you are pulling the card back, then it should only bring out the top

1. Make sure that your hands are not too dry.
2. Use a new, slippery deck of cards, not an old sticky one.
3. Don't use much pressure on the card - you should just barely be touching it.
