DL

If you dont like holding up the corner of te card on the DL, try the Larry Jenning's Snap Double. You can do it with one, two or even three cards

For a great ambitious card routine and lots of alternative options, i recommend Daryl's Ambitious Card dvd

I dont use a DL in my ACR, i use a triple! .....followed by a double... :?

Just out of curiosity, where do you learn the Card to Forehead or Mouth move? I think its obvious on how it works but actually doing it invisibly seems the hard part to me.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

katrielalex wrote:The other option is to learn a strike DL. This is a DL that doesn't require a get-ready at all, the lift is done in the same motion as the DL. It's rather harder to do well but it means that you can do a DL straight from a deck, and you don't have to worry about breaks so much. Of course, if you can get a break, you might as well.

Sorry to revive this but I want to know more about this Strike DL.

Mydas, the strike DL is just a 'feel' kind of thing. Usually just using one finger along the right side of the deck to get it. The difference is that you don't have a break, after a while I believe you should just be able to 'get it'. Mine is still pretty sketchy so I don't do it often, but I agree with Kati that it is probably worth learning to do as you don't need a set up...

So you have them beveled or well squared ? When trying to 'feel' exactly 2 cards ?

Not really, it's more a knack. Just keep doing doubles while watching a movie and by the end of it you should have it down.

so is that what it is called? heh - a strike lift. Well that is what I do now. In fact, I m making a video at the mo called "spot the DL" and you have to see which, out of 4 turnovers, is the DL ;)

For a pass I would suggest Sankey's stuff. Revoloutionary card magic. Comes with a load of other stuff including a good move on DL.

I have been working on some DL moves, and putting together a variety of ways of performing DL's from easy to hard. I struggled to 'get it' for a while and so decided to put together some stuff personally until I got it right, trying out a variety of ways by trial and error.

If you fancy having a look PM me and i will send you the manuscript. You could tell me how clear or not it is!
