Paul Daniels (for making me very interested in magic), David Berglas, Orson Wells (just for that voice doing the book test!, fantastic!), Hans Moretti, Derren Brown, Ian Rowland, Chan Canasta, Jospeh Dunninger, Penn & Teller, Steve Shaw.

Probably loads more, these are the ones that spring to mind.

My personal favorite is Terry Evanswood. Without a doubt, the best magician I've ever seen. He's also one of the best stage performers period I've seen. He has a genuine connection with the audience and his skills are unmatched and the diversity of magic he performs is remarkable. He is the youngest magician to ever perform at Hollywood's Magic Castle. Terry is very humble and sincere and just an all-around good guy. He is probably my biggest influence in magic. I wish he was a bigger name than what he is and would get more attention because he deserves it.

Coming in at a very close second is Lance Burton.

Crikey, this is worse than Tinkerbell in Peter Pan. C'mon everyone, do you believe in Mark Lewis? Well do you??????
(Mark's light dims a little then starts to glow more brightly, everyone on TM claps and cheers wildly, Mark takes a bow and does 20 minutes impromptu close up followed by some serous mentalism to express his thanks to everyone. Curtain down to rapturous applause.)

Paul Daniels - A true master of the magic business.
Lance Burton
Harry Houdini - Even though I never saw his performances live or even any recordings, the sheer motivation and determination he had is more than admirable. An insipiring and interesting character of Magic.
