Make sure you do.
It's one of the finest pieces ever written on card magic. Many of the greats you see today started on the Royal Road To Card Magic book.
If you want coins, then many professionals started with Bobo's Modern Coin Magic.

The classic texts are the best. (Trust me, I have a copy of Edwin Sachs Sleight Of Hand!)

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Believe me, Hummer card is a very surprising effect to put into a card routine, but I wouldn't advise using it for more than 5-10 seconds at the most, and it requires a set-up so you can't just do it impromtu. Once you have read and digested RRTCM you will probably have other priorities that you want to learn anyway.

Well most card tricks are finding your cards, and if you think it is lame, well, thats up to you, no point of buying royal road to card magic.

And in all honestly, the hummer card, is really fidderly and not worth the money, i brought it due to C.U.P.S and its noth worth it.

And i think you just want a trick to show you friends at school or whatever down the pub, and then will reveal the secret.

I mite be wrong but i doubt it.
