Its nothing to do with Cyril being better than Criss. I just wanted to post a review and list some of the tricks he did, how good or bad he did them and have links to some of them.

I know its not something anyone will be puchasing but I just thought it'd be good to post a review so people can see what he has done. I wouldnt be comparing Cyril to Criss as it'd just be a review about the Cyril special. I'm lazy anyway so I probably wouldnt get around to doing it

Well, so long as it doesn't degenerate into that kind of thing, I don't see the problem with it.

However, as I believe Mandrake pointed out - Cyril's response to you did NOT say "go out and grab the You Tube stuff". However, since you aren't trying to profit from it, and the Cyril is currently taking no legal action, you should be fine.

I was going to say the very same thing, why review Youtube clips?

I was going to review the whole special, not just a couple of the clips. I was going to say which tricks were there and hopefully post links so you could see it.. but like I said, I'm lazy and probably wont do it.. At least not very often anyway

theres been some discussion about this on youtube actually, looking through the terms of service there, by uploading a video to youtube, you are automatically granting permission for that video to be used by any other member within the sites functionality... which means...

youtube doesnt have downloading videos as part of the site... so thats not allowed even tho it is possible.

what is allowed is linking to, embedding and adding to your faves list etc aslong as you are a member of youtube yourself.

yeah theres alot of copyrighted material on there... which they wont have permission to upload BUT, when they upload it, they check a little box saying it isnt copyrighted material, us little people have no choice but to accept that they may actually have permission to use it. its down to the original copyright owner to say otherwise... no one else can get a video removed for copyright violation.

Obviously the TM rules say no exposure... so any vids, copyrighted or not, showing that arnt allowed on the site - but aslong as it isnt exposure... you can legally link to and embed any video on youtube here, they give you permission to do that when they sign up - aslong as your a member of youtube )
