i do do cards, lots of 'em
i mainly do walk around stuff, not much stage.

the thing is, the persona i create/use/whatever, is that of someone who isn't that great with cards.
as soon as people mention poker (always happens) i say that I never get a game because strange things happen when i play with cards......e.g amitious cards, that kinda thing.
What I am saying is an old argument really. if you are seen to be amazing at controlling the cards with outstanding flashy cuts etc, then they are just left thinking " oooh, he's good with his hands ain't he", whereas if you are visibly just ordinary (well, maybe the odd flourish thrown in but tothing over the top) and handle the cards as anyone else would, the the end results of the effects can often appear more baffling to others.
that said, I really need to get my pressure fan looking good, yours ain't that bad at all m8, trust me

Man that is hella briliant... I should do that also... Im always a flashy type guy and yes I do agree that people will think you are just good with your hand and using that to accomplish an effect rather then maybe its just magic... I never thought about it like that.
And thanks again for the compliment :D

When the French caught an English archer they would cut off those two fingers so they could no longer use a bow. Archers used to taunt the French with the 'V' sign to show that they still had their fingers and were about to kill some frenchies.

I respect that BUT you have to also realize alot of us in Canada and for most parts of America really dont pay attention to much of that. All we really know down here in Canada is the f finger lol. Anything els we dont pay attention too. I never thought in a million years if someone gave me the peace sign maybe they were telling me to F*** off.... Just never occured to me nor should it because nobody really knows about that down here.

Well, some of us do. I had heard about the origins of that action, but I sadly have to agree with you. I can't speak for Canadians, as an American we generally don't even pay attention to Canada :), but the US is well known for usually not knowing much about non-US matters. I try to keep up on world events and history because I work with a lot of different people from around the world and I don't want to come off as the "typical, dumb American".
