Kennedy's Mindpower deck is a good one, its now available in Bicycle Rider Back as aposed to the other weirdish looking deck. Definately a bit of a rip on the price, but a good effect.

So I don't know what deck Derren used, home made maybe?

I quite like Gary Sumpter's InDecks, its a deck that can find any named card instantly, think of the possbilities you have at your fingertips.

I also have a fondness for the Stripper deck. I don't use it in performance much, but it's great fun playing around with it.

Although it's limited in scope, I love my Mental Photography deck - just for the visual nature of the effect. Stolen cards, Kids Kards, and DeTour DeForce (even though they're crappy Hoyle cards) are a few others I like.

Bobby_Cat - you mentioned the factory made strippers. I haven't used one yet. Is there a MAJOR difference in the quality of the deck (both aesthetically and functionally)? I'm just wondering if a change to those is worth the slightly higher cost.

As for Smoke - I do believe that while Kennedy's deck is mentioned as perfect for the effect, Derren Brown uses a deck he constructed himself.

I love the ivisideck but I also like the dirty card principle which I use a lot.

If I can just butt in here for a moment. In the USPC stripper deck, the gimmick is split between both sides so rather there being a major difference, it's actually a very minor one, if you see what I mean... The sides are very smooth too, as opposed to the usual roughness of a bike deck,

Yes, you're absolutely right. He printed his own, but notes that Kennedy's will do the same job.

At the moment, the ID is my favourite gaffed deck, for the great effect it has on the spectator. But I just placed an order for some different ones, so I don't know if that will change in the near future.

Must put in a vote for the ID. I like to give it to a spectator wrpped up and get them to hold it until I am ready to use it. It really reduces any suspicion about tampering.

Demitri,
i am not sure what you have paid for strippers in the past (sounds interesting...) however i have sourced mine from this link at US$4 and been very satisfied.

Tomo is correct re the gimmick. instead of being on one side (as per traditionally cut stripper decks) the gimmick is on BOTH sides. as a result, the backs of each card appear more normal even under close scrutiny. it also seems that they gimmicking is done as part of the dye cutting process (ie. the dye itself has the gimmick requirement) and so the edges appear much cleaner and more "normal". definately the best stripper deck i have owned!

It's actually quite difficult to tell them apart, but if you put an unopened deck of normal bikes next to a similar USPCC stripper deck and look at the bottom of the case, the logo and barcode have changed places, and the logo is slightly different.
