What Kind Of Music is Well Suited For Performing

The music really depends on what kind of performer you are yourself. Is your performance funny? Is your performance serious? Are you a clown? Is your performance sexy?.
Yes, I must agree to greedoniz that Herb Alpert and also James Last are very fitting for a lot of magic, mainly if you add some humor to your performance. It's your typical background music that can add a lot to your show. The theme song from Austin Powers can also be very shagadelic baby, yeah!

On the other hand, sometimes individual tricks require different soundtracks. I've seen a performance in Brazil, where the Theme of ET was used for the floating silver ball. That fitted very well, much better than a Herb Alpert would have.

But if your performance is like David Copperfield and Daniel Chesterfield :) then you should use Mantovani or some light classical music.

I Think The Song "Sing Sing Sing" by Benny Goodman Is a great song. it is a jazz big band song. absolutley amazing fast paced song
