honestly though - magic is an ice-breaker sure, but if you're going to ask someone out, just do it the old fashioned way, get slightly tipsy and garble something about liking her, try the following:

"i was wondering something...if you haven'tt got a boyfrie...well, you probably have, so don't worry...erm...erm...what was i saying? yeah, well, i think you're really...er..er..nice and i was wondering if you...and please, say no if you dont, you probably will say no but anyway..er...er...yeah, if you werent too busy...maybe we could er..er..go for a drink or something sometime soon..."

try and mumble most of the above, go bright red, and never make eye contact and you'll be fine...

or you could try a psychological approach;)

Ask her a few questions..
very hard questions.. and ask them right after her answer..
and then..
she'll be really thinking hard.. and getting nervous because of all those questions..

and than you pop out one simple question..
hey! how about going out together..

and she'll be so relieved that the hard questions are over that she'll be so confused an happy that it is a YES or NO question and she'll sub consiously yell out YES!!!!!!

In my experience using magic to ask girls out can end really badly. I knew this girl a while ago and i thought we were getting on great as we would hang out and have fun so i decided after about a month and a half to ask her out and developed a routine . The routine involved forcing the queen of hearts and saying this was a romantic card and represents her being the queen of my heart then i flicked the card into the air caught it and it had changed into a card with a rose drawn on it. I then got her to look into the petals of a rose i had on the side and she found i piece of flash paper with queen of my heart written on it. I then rolled up the paper and lit it which left another heart shaped piece of paper which said will you go out with me? Unfortunately after all that she said no and that she only wanted to be friends, i was gutted. Also it was on valetines day!

Ok peacock, magic is only good in this sense as an ice breaker. Now that you know her just go and say hello and talk to her. Don't do magic tricks. Also make sure that you express your romantic interest early on otherwise she will just think you want to be friends. Talk to her (and her friends!) then ask her out or whatever.
