Crumbs, I knew we were an anal bunch but a three page thread about how to open a pack of cards!?

I'm with Copyright. They cost 2.50 max at the end of the day, what's the worst that could happen if you don't open a pack absolutely correctly? Plus it saves you a lot of time and effort sitting in a set of medical scrubs with an assistant boiling kettles while you carefully prise the label back a millimetre at a time with an extra fine bladed scalpel, dabbing at the residue with a superthin piece of lint free cloth on a toothpick which has previously been soaked in a precise mixture of acetone and white spirit. In a vacuum.

Totally agree—but I think the essence here that some of us have interjected is taking the seal off, 'changing' the content, and re-sealing so it looks like all is (as Sankey would say) copacetic ;)

It's a weird thing, but it's a good added convincer if the speccy opens a 'brand new deck'.

My girlfriend wondered how we did that too.

Ho ho ho, glad that was taken in the tongue in cheek way I intended  It's the little details that make you a good magician and there's certainly advantages to resealing a card box I'll admit, in fact I'll probably use some of this advice myself. It is a rather chucklesome thread though.
