You may be onto something there :)

It is a question I struggle with, I would hate to think I am stopping somebody knowing something or in effect censoring their knowledge and yet I love being magical.
I guess magic does stand on it's own in that respect, there isn't anything else quite like it and it does depend on the select few knowing how it is done.
I have read a few things that have changed my opinion on this here lately, yet throughout I have stuck to the code, it's just getting easier to live with, lol.

Does the book teach magic, or does it just show you the secrets to some really bad tricks. If it teaches presentation and shows you how to perfrom some good tricks then the book is not hypocritical, however, if the book just shows you a few gags and has a collection of "the worlds most boring cards tricks" then is it really hypocritical as they wont really be secrets. If it exposes some great tricks, not showing you how to perform them, it is very hypocritical.
