Your head, neck and shoulders are unnaturally 'locked'. And the relative positions of the rose to your 'locked' setup tip the gaff.
Also be aware that with this hook-up, you can make the rose rise and fall too, which would make the 'locked' appearance less.
However, a very nice presentation, congrats!

You are not reviewing anything, so Reviews is wrong place for this post.
You should actually post this in:

I'll PM you for thoughts on your vid
In the meantime, why don't you pop in the Introduction's forum and introduce yourself?

The motions are smooth, and you have chosen a great tune for it.
On the technical side, personally I would use a full Fearson hook-up for this one, that way you could play with the height of the rose without too much head or body movement, and besides open a new door of possibilities (like making the rose float to your nose so you can "smell" it, making the rose go through a "hands hoop" in more natural way).
Also I would begin with an animation before the levitation ( like making the rose raise on your palm, or on a spectator's palm under the right lighting).
But on the whole a very nice, romantic piece.
iummydd wrote:It would be exposing to say what it is exactly. I CAN tell you that the Fearson hook-up is the hook-up for IT used in floating cigarette, light flight, floating sun-glasses.
BTW do you use Kevlar or regular IT for this effect?
Because I had an idea a while ago to combine a floating rose routine with a shadow box illusion, and I think I will go into building one soon.

Just imagine how it would look if the cigarette was the rose.
Now, you said that the rose is heavy, which is exactly why I asked if you used Kevlar IT, which is stronger then the more common IT. Try to get yourself some, it's a bit more expansive then regular IT, but it ill make you feel much safer, and will enable you to use a bigger rose if you like(but I think this one is just the right size).

If you want to do floating rose you have to try Kevin James floating rose! Of course as you might know David Copperfield has used Kevin James floating rose and given this effect his very own handling.
The full effect is that the magician takes a piece of (white) tissue and crumbles it into a little ball. It dances up and down the magicians arm, then the spectators arm. It is twisted into the shape of a rose and levitates! This is very magical since there is absolutely NO correlation between the movement of the rose and the magicians body(*).
Then after the paper rose has come into life it is lit and changes into a real rose that the magician can give to the spectator as a souvenir!
On http://www.kjmagic.com/catalog/videos/rose.html you can see part of it performed!
I may - at some later stage - add a very short review of Kevin James floating rose to the review section since one day you might want to do this version of the floating rose.
(*) The biggest weakness in your version is that the rose somehow follow the movements of your body. If I may ask, which version of floating rose do you use? Anyway if this is your first effect its pretty cool....
