He's very proud of that, so he says. I like it too. I need to practice some of the fundamental artifices used before going for it.

Just out of interest, do you let your speks choose the cards? Spots, presumably.

I wouldn't worry about the actual techniques too much - I'm not that skilled but can pull it off. As Derren says, it is a routine which leaves the audience kind of cold unless performed properly, not over-explained, but understood at the same time. Performance really counts for this one.

I do usually let the specs choose the cards, but occasionally I classic force at least three spot cards for each colour, as if you have three then one or two picture cards shouldn't metter too much if you order them right. I would usually only force the cards if the 1st two they pick are picturecards. Get what I mean ?

I understand, but like I say, don't worry too much. My EC is possibly the worst ever, but if you be clever about it then you can pull it off. The bit that matters and really gets the reactions is the end bit - where all the cards are the same and then mixed(after they have picked 'right'), so practice those sleights well. I tend to find that people seem slightly lost at the first bit, and that it doesn't get the reactions one would expect, but maybe that's just me. . . .
The second part seems to involve them more, which I think probably helps.
If you need a hand or have a question to which my posts do not answer sufficiently then please PM me or post again if it's not too technical or exposing. I'd be more than happy to help
