When I first saw him I thought..very fast, very modern but not for me. However he is self taught, has gone through the mill getting to the standards he has achieved and he performs for HIS type of audience who love him. That surely says it all.
The problem with magicians, mainly amateur & semi pros, is one I've encounted a lot over the years with amateur actors. They will all be so self opinionated and often run others down, only believing in 'This is the way I do it' syndrome.
It's irksome, irritating and totally unfair!
Remember Chung Ling Soo's advice, all those years ago:
'Respect the honest endeavors of your less fortunate as well as the highest brother conjurer. If you care not to speak well or in praise of another's work, then say NOTHING at all. Remember the lesser lights of the conjuring world help to make the reputation of the highest; without the humbler exponents there would be no chance to make comparisons.'
And from me: 'Don't confuse personal criticism with personal rancour!!'
If you MUST criticize then do it constructively not destructively!!
Know Yourself first.
