Postby AJ » Mar 10th, '07, 03:18

Is there a sight you can download bobos and royal road on your computer as a movie telling the instructions? I would really like to buy it.

things you should definatly learn first off are the retention vanish and the classic palm then learn a coins across routine, thats like the ambitiose card routine for coins.

with thease two you can do a lot of coin magic add to them a spellbound change and a tenkie and you'll be away for a long wile to come.

I dont think the retention vanish is in there
are just easier to learn from because it tells you how and shows you. Plus you can get them instantly

Why so the retention vanish magicdiscoman? I think a good false transfer works just as well. I think the problem with the Rv is that you are saying "Watch the coin go in to my hand" I do use it my self having said that but I dont think it is good as say a Himbler vanish.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

That is very much like saying, "First I'll get a tricycle, then I'll learn how to ride a bicycle, then I'll get a jet airplane."

I suggest that you leave the 13 steps out of your repertoire at this time. Certainly later down the road you may want it, but right now it is all but useless to you.

Regarding sleights, Bobo's suggests that you learn a good classic palm, a good finger palm and a good thumb palm to start. Those three sleights are the basis of good coin magic and, with those three sleights alone, you could make a career out of coin magic.

Since you are a beginner, may I suggest that you take Bobo's advice and worry about more advanced sleights as you gain in experience?

And, rather than learning a bunch of sleights that you may never have a reason to use, you actually look at the tricks and routines that are presented and choose what you like out of those, then learn the sleights that are necessary to make those tricks work.

In reality, there's no reason to know how to rebuild a transmission on a car if all you need to do is change the tire.

Learn the basics before you learn the more advanced material.

Mike.

Bobo's covers the retention vanish, but not the Tenkai (although Tenkai is referenced three times in the tome).
