i think if you're going to fish, at least kill the poor sod and eat it!

imagine being yanked out of your bed by a giant metal hook in your gob, you're measured and weighed, then slung back in bed...huh? what was that?

eat 'em...thats what i say...

Mostly mackerel, and all of it is eaten, unless it's tiddly, in which case it becomes sea bass bait.

The hole where the hook as been closes up like a peicing would on a huan but with the amount of fish on comm, ercial fisheries these days a fish would be unlucky to be caught m,ore that 10-20 times in its life,m which isn't very much considering that they can live a good few years. Fish aren't slimy....just very wet lol

I went fly fishing once

I caught an 8lb bluebottle

 sorry I couldn't resist. This thread isn't the plaice for a joke of that ilk...

Actually that reminds me of a Billy Connelly story about him showing his son how to fish and his son asks him "Do we get get to kill it when we catch it". Billy Replies "no son, we let it go".
"So why do we catch it in the first place?" His son asked. Billy Replied "To see it panic"

I've actually been waiting all my life to find a suitable time to tell that gag. I can now die a happy contented human being.
