Oh dear. I've just been told what it now means.

Any road up, yes, there's a lot of it about. Other people trying out your effects with their own subtle twists can give you great feedback and ideas too. A TMer who's seen a rough draft of a chapter of Naked Mentalism tried my book test over a mobile phone text message last week by predicting the words on a random page of a random book. The recipient of the message was somewhat freaked out. It's that sort of feedback that can tell you if you're on the right track or wasting your time.

This is true. Beta testing is a great idea for magicians or you end up with products like Sharpe-ring etc etc.
