Has anybody got any first hand experience of this prop? I'm considering adding this to my close up routine.

Don't bother with it. Take the time to buy Modern Coin Magic by J.B. Bobo where you will learn a thousand different things you can do with ordinary coins that only cost what they are worth

its a sequence routine like hopping halfs ok for what it is and iv'e used it myself many a time.
if you are after a similar effect then go for the exp version of hopping halfs.

This is my favourite gimmicked coin trick, done properly you can start and end clean. I've given you a link to the review and to a basic demo video
