Wonder if some one can help me.
Where, if at all, is the Elmsley count in the Tarbell course?
I would like to read Tarbells description if there is one.
I am thinking the man most likely to able to help on here is Allan Tipton...
you could always get it from the horses mouth so to speak and read "the collected works of Alex Elmsley" Vol 1
Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..
The EC was a 1970's development so won't be in any sources such as Tarbell or RRTCM but may be in later revised printings of 'old' magic books. A bit of Googling should show a few possible places to try.

Thanks. I will check this out. I have looked through Tarbell for false counts (I've on got vol 1-6) and can't find any. Maybe they were none in those days!
The count was never called the Elmsley Count - it was always the Ghost Count, and was published in the manuscript Elmsley's Four Card Trick. Over time it became known as the Elmsley Count.
If you want to get _really_ geeky, you could call it Alex Elmsley's Ghost Count (as I do on my tutorial for it...)
Having consulted a frield of mine, I am informed that it originally appeared in a Ganson book in the early 60's and was initially called 'Counting 4 as 4'

I would like to add a piece of information, that Elmsley count using dealers grip was actually invented by John Fedko under the name "Fedko's Finasse" in early 1970's. Please correct me if I am wrong.
