The 'Lite' version is much more easily handled/concealed and innocent 'equivalents' with similar markings (!) are on sale in the UK if a switch is required.

The 'lite' version, as Mandrake points out, is a much improved version in many respects. Size, value, honesty...

And as far as 'quantity'... I've probably used it about 50-60 times now (taking into account practice and performances) and there's plenty of life left in the gimmick.

All in all, a much improved version. Shame that a few other effects don't follow suit.

Nowt Like digging up a four year old topic but here goes..Can this be used for Newspapers and magazines? I see in the Ad copy about soft back books but how about newspaper?

Booktests with newspaper and magazines is much more controllable than with a thick 300+ page book.

I guess silver bullet would work fine, but not really much point.

Silver Bullet can be used with just about any book, within certain limits as indicated above, which happens to be available. BIP naturally has to use that one book but the reveals and routines with BIP are more varied than with SB. Take SB as a Utility compared to BIP as a Prop and you'll be thinking along the right lines.

I just got mine. D/l the instructions of the site and I must say this is great. If any one has S.A.D by Looch i have an idea how this could be used in the second routine. But it is a lovely litte thing and its genius. Book test any one?

Does anyone elses leak like buggery?? I seem to have a pocket full of ******* every time I take this out, its not going to last 5 minutes at this rate. Anyone had any good ideas for alternate containers and does anyone know if the ******* is available without the superfluous packaging from anywhere?
Oh, dont want this to look like moaning. This is a fabulous product and a genius idea that I'd recomend to anyone for impromptu book tests etc.

These ancient topics do pay dividends for newbies such as myself though. I've been looking for an impromptu book test, but this seems to have it all! Very limited places that sell it though. Still not sure how it works at all, have a vague idea...either way CUPS strikes again.

Try looking up sights that sell small containers, like a roller ball applicator. I have found sites that sell these cheaply, but you may need to buy a minimum amount, like 20.

They work well.

Is this still the best whatever-it-is or has anything made it obsolete, or has anything come along that does the same job but better?

I ask because the posts are very old indeed.

I admit to having no clue whatsoever what this is, but the reviews make it sound very powerful. I've been looking for an impromptu book test but haven't found one that I like the look of. I never feel comfortable with a thumb writer. Ideally I have to present the word to them written down I'd like it to be in an envelope so they don't think I wrote it secretly after they told me their word... I don't know of that is possible with this or not, but one way or another this sounds like it can be used for a remarkably clean book test.
