Wallets .. ( I know I know but still )

Postby I.D » Apr 30th, '07, 15:12

I have searched and have found answers but I would still like to know what rings true today..

what is considered the best and most practical wallet on the market today?

Im not really fussed about whether its a palm or no palm wallet as long as it is practical..

Im swinging towards the Basil Horwitz Wallet, or the Jerry Oconell wallet.. what wallets do each of you consider the most practical and versatile?

If possible, I would like a wallet that is useable for more than just one effect, CTW.

Any suggestions s'il vous plait>?

horses for courses...

if i were to recommend the horwitz wallet, then others will say it's rubbish (its not, its genius)...

but! the wallet i would wholeheartedly recommend for you mr. ID, is - the one you have in your pocket...put a bleedin' lock on it so you stop buying stuff.... :D

one step at a time young jedi...

i know you're stockpiling, but...by the time you've finished studying, there might well be a super duper new one out that maybe even wipes yer @rse....if they do do one like that, i hope no one sells it on without sterilising it first...

Yeh maybe I should give that a go.. hhmm..

Ive actually vowed not to buy anything else in the way of books.. I ordered the other 3 volumes of Harry Loraynes apocolypse and the complete Tarbell course ove the weekend just for completeness. I feel I have more than enough 'informative' material now so Im going to hit the books and, slowly, so as not to miss anything. These should last me at least the next year or so.. along with Corinda and Anneman books I still havent read.

Im only going to buy.. a few effects here and there, magus capsules on backorder, and a wallet while Im at it  bang on or Horwitz me thinks.. then Im putting CUPS to bed as I feel complete now.

I feel like have more than enough to sink my teeth into!! Lord knows my draws are full.. !!

No, I agree Abraxus.. totally.

I think I started buying up magic stock in bulk simply because I wished I had been doing magic from a young age.. so I was playing catch in terms of where I would love to be by now.. that just developed into CUPS.

Realistically, I dont think i really need anything for the next 3 or 4 years, seriously, I have the rest of Card college, Apocoplypse, Tarbell, Corinda, Anneman, books by Phil Goldstein and Bob Cassisy, Banachek products, Osterlind mid mysteries, multiple Sankey products, numerous michael ammar dvds, All 3 Art of Astonishment books, David Stone, Davd Roth etc etc. Its ridiculous really.

Im really making an effort to stop buying and just focus on what I have because one of these books covers months of work, and more in most cases.

I have a pretty methodical approach to learning but I think the more I own the more I am going to feel overwhelmed, so if I stop where I am, I have a pretty good Idea of how to work through what I have. And Im coming along nicely so I think Ill stop where I am and just carry on working through the mountain of mental wealth waiting for me. Maybe just one more purchase to say goodbye to cups though eh?

I agree that to many books and DVD's can be overwhelming and unnecessary but it is hard when you keep reading great reviews on here. You think your sorted until someone comes on shouting about a new product that you must have.

I think that curiosity also plays a fairly big part in buying to much- you just have to know how some of these effects are done.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

You have chosen well there me ol' son! With that arsenal of hot material at your disposal.....

Wallets... never really used them much but if it's worth anything, I recently got the Heirloom wallet which I am pretty pleased with.
Although I don't think it'll be useful for CTW (though Heirloom itself and KK can obviously be done with it), it's a great little prop and has it's uses.

The stealth assassin is very good. Lots of "mental" routines can be done with this beauty. You can buy it with two instructinonal DVDs oofering a wealth of tricks. You won't be disappointed. You can use it to carry your credit cards, small packet tricks and notes with.

See: http://www.stealthassassin.com/intro.htm
for details. I bought one a couple of weeks ago and I love it.
