Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

good point there Django, I find the silks, sponges and anything really visual work really well with small children. Card tricks tend to go down like a lead balloon.

Is she a Catholic like me? I know you Brits are proud Protestants  . I think it's funny how some Catholics take things way too far (every religion has them!). There are people who say card tricks are people trying to learn sorcery. There's also a fears of tarot cards, palm readers, and the Harry Potter series. It's not called fiction for nothing   !

If she's Catholic then just let her know that Magicians have their very own fully approved and Vatican appointed Patron Saint - John Don Bosco, Saint's Day end of January  .

I just got back from a magic store. and picked up a few things: 3 Card Monte, Ghost Deck, Ghost Gaff, CAJ, Pop Eyed Popper (will write review soon)Black Tiger deck, and Sponge balls! They are all so awesome!!! I am thinking of 3 Card Monte, and maybe Popper plus some effects with just normal decks. What do you think? :)
