Had many people asking for this at the beginning of last year in studio 9 so I had to find out what it was all about. I can't remember who told me but they weren't impressed, basically a floating ball effect using a helium filled balloon painted to look like a metal sphere I think.

Cogito, ergo sum.
Cogito sumere potum alterum.

I have been so tempted to try and sell it on ebay - but couldn't do it - it just wouldn't be fair.

LOL

I too was 'suckered' into Braco's ball a long while ago.

When it arrived, I was so horrified, I removed it from vision and buried it in a lead-lined box.

Basically:
1: I'm no good at mime artistry
2: I gave up on 'You can make this at home'/BluePeter style things a long while back
3: I always believe that if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
4: I was correct in my assumptions in point 3

However, the actual obsurd and obvious nature of this 'illusion' was certainly something I didn't expect, and therefore the intrigue alone was very draining.

Plus, the 'other things' needed for the illusion were to prove to be a little difficult to get a shipping quantity of...

I agree, banish it to the depths, Cliff.

And if you auction it on eBay, beware - your buyer may come after you with a sharp, pointed instrument for your sins...

I like to sleep at night .... so it'll stay in my cupboard - at least until I make use of the gimmicks for my Silver Wedding anniversary

I'll use my 'pieces' to good effect as making little 'heat blankets' at the next London Mouse Marathon :)

I wouldn't like to increase the aggro guys but Braco's Ball sounds like real turkey. I did a Google search and found

Welcome to magiceffex
Braco’s Floating Ball surpasses its predecessors in many ways. Norm Nielsen
was one of the first privileged to see Braco’s Floating Ball in action. ...

which leads to (surprise, surprise):

The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

plus a couple of oddball vague mentions and one for sale as part of a job lot of stuff. We should construct an award and allocate it to Braco and his Ball. Perhaps a cyber award, the Talkmagic Forum Turkey Trick of the Year Award? We could all dress up in cyber Dinner Jackets, pretend we're 007, and look suave and sophisticated whilst the awards ceremony takes place?

Yup. Guilty as charged.

Sometimes, I don't even get as far as making a rational decision!

 I can't believe someone will have the ..... to sell the instructions to making a {edited by a mod} for $35  Just when I thought I was getting used to some of the scams in buying magic.
I think my most useless item was my sanada gimmick. I know some people rave about it but my hands are just too big - or something, it really doesn't work for me...

Most Sanada's have to be cut/moulded to fit. If you get one that feels right, they can be extremely useful.

Most useless magic award goes to my left hand, just about pipping my right hand. :)
