Custom Playing Cards

Postby Michael Kras » Jul 15th, '07, 22:04

Rather than the Poker Chips I was raving about earlier, I was thginking I should get my olwn custom decks with my logo on it. Does anyone else do this? What do you think of it? Is it worth the price you pay? How is the quality of the cards?

Thank you,

Michael Kras

why do you want this? is it just cuz theyd be cool, or because theyd be good for promotional purposes, if you hand out a signed card as a souvenir? Ive never done it, but it sounds interesting

Both reasons.... I found a great website for them too that has a special program just for magicians: www.customplayingcards.com

Custom cards are great as business cards. There's no better way of handing out a business card then their selected card turning into one in their own hands!

Michael, before you do anything I would give Kardwell a call and get a sample of their work. I was going to create custom decks as a favor for my wedding, but I found the quality of the cards to be a bit lacking (for my own, personal standards) for the price.

You need to realize, the cards you are getting are not the highest of quality in a magicians' sense. They're fine for games of poker and that sort of thing, but they're not really designed with the magician in mind.

The quality of the printing is fine, and their work looks great. I would just get a sample first, so you know what kind of card stock you'll be dealing with.
