Sorry! - A masterpiece! "Language Timothy!"

Ivor Cutler, now you're talking. Very underated. I remember New Best Friend too. Very good show with some great moments.

There's also another name you're all forgetting here: Tommy Cooper.

The gentle giant.

tommy cooper was the funniest man who ever lived.

Whilst we're on the subject, I wonder just how many folks in the UK remember the Simon Callow comendy series, "Chance in a Million", which was an 80's precursor to "One Foot in the Grave", but much, MUCH funnier?

EDIT: Why, when I glimpse the title of this thread, do I always read it as, 'The Best Canadian I know'?!

Me Sir, I do! Brenda Blethyn co-starred as his dippy girlfrend - a unique programme in very sense!

Me too! It was, I believe, Channel 4's most popular show, and was moved to ITV for a more 'mainstream' audience.
Simon Callow's best moment.

Bummer! Sorry Connor... I have a habit of missing elements of posts... I even get in trouble for it.

And yes, Callow was genius in CIAM.

Does anyone recall the short-lived, but hilarious, ITV sitcom, PLAZA PATROL?

Was that the dodgy thing with Cannon and Ball?

I seem to remember it vaguely, but can't recal it being memorable...

Charlie Chuck!
A comic legend. I have seen his live show and it was bafflingly hilarious.
Would love to see how he would go down in the US!
