This is a fantasic feature article by Stephen - filled with solid, invaluable information.

I was just about to send an indignant PM to one of the Mods, asking why the original thread had been locked, as I wanted to comment, so I'm happy to see a 'discussion' thread for it here too.

I'd like to say a big thanks to Stephen for all the effort he's evidently put into his article, which I've already printed; I KNOW I'm going to want to refer back to, time and again.

Moddy-Noddies: Can the article be stickied please? :D

Excellent Stephen, really good advice!

As someone just starting paid gigs I can relate to so much of that!

With all the amazing advise on TM you could easily make a collaboration and release an amazing reference book! I'd buy it! :)

Of course, Stephen, you do realise that - now you've made this one, terrible little slip-up in suggesting such a thing - we're going to hold you to it...and, if necessary, beat it out of you with those weird rubber baton things that are sold to sexual deviants

Thank you but i am sure that Craig and Michael could do it even better. I have an idea for vol 2 but it will be much longer so need a while to work on it.
