That's really excellent work - thank you! I started doing magic for money when I was twelve (24 years ago!) and wish I'd had that sort of advice then.
There are several details that I disagree with, but they are minor and probably reflect nothing more than differences of style.
I'd add my voice to Bananafish though in encouraging you to re-think the '10-15 mins' at each table guideline. Although some smaller gigs are around, by far the majority of gigs are 10-15 tables in the 100ish minutes it takes to have dinner. That's about 6 mins tops!
One other point is working with other magicians. Few things p*** me off more when dividing a room up with another magician than finding out that he (it's nearly always a he!) has only done three tables by the end of the main course, and I have to cover for him! It's why I really like working with the same guys over and over again!
