Not Necessarily, it took me about three weeks before I could get it to jump at all, but this was back in the early 1980's and I had only seen a friend do it in person so I did not have video to review. It probably took me a few months before I got anything that was demonstrate-able. And it was very painful, I had two red marks on each hand that I thought would never go away :)

There's a seventeen minute lesson on the Virtual Sessions. Link below.

Take care, Ian

There is also something called the "Lazy Man's Muscle Pass", that is not only 1000 times easier to do, it can be just as impressive - especially to lay people.

Having said that, I have no doubt that anyone who has gone through the pain and effort of learning the "Real" Muscle Pass will instantly dismiss it as being far inferior.

I have never seen the LMMM actually taught anywhere. I was shown it by a friend and it seems to be a pretty well kept secret in the magic community. Certainly worth knowing about though...

I meet this old bloke at a party many years ago, and he took and coin and placed it on the veins under his wrist....he started doing small circular motions with hand and then suddenley the coin popped up about 2ft in the air.....it was awesome...........

Do you guys think this is a distint cousin of a muscle pass move?

Yup - that's known in the trade as 'The Old Git's Scrawny Vein Pass'; sadly, it's impossible to perform until you hit at least 70 years of age...

That move is actually taught in Bobo, apparently it helps a lot if you're a sailor and hence have spent years yanking ropes about and getting big tough tendons in your wrist. However with a bit of practice it can be replicated by anyone and would probably be just as impressive as a muscle pass if done right, as you can testify Chris. Completely different method by the way.
