One was a film about a group of scientists on an oil platform. Only it was a very small platform. ie one hut about the size of a garage on it and a big derik or tower in the center. Anyway about ten scientists lived on this thing and they dug up a load of eggs. One hatched became a monster. (just like the one hanibal out of the A team played). So man in lizard suit slowly killed off all the guys as they had no way of defending themselves. In the end there was one guy and this girl. the monster chased them round the hut a couple of times and then they went up the tower. At the top the guy pulled out his gun and shot it dead! I kid you not.
At the very end of the credits the unhatched eggs were shown to creepy music
Oh no there could be a sequal! This is therefore the scariest film in history.
Aha! That would be The Intruder Within, made in 1981, and directed by Peter Carter, who died the following year.
I saw it years ago on telly, and thought it was hilarious.

Not that I'm a Z-Movie nerd, you understand...
Oh, and Dude Where's My Car is a misunderstood work of genius - even if it does owe everything to Bill & Ted.
