I've got these, watched them, and just thought I would clarify a few points before people buy them. I'll write a review after performing them, but I'll just acknowledge a few basics here - a "mini-review and clear up" if you will.

Bullet:

Is there an extra coin falling from above? - No (correct)

Is a label needed? - No (correct)

Is anything hidden behind or under the cap? - No (correct)

Does the illusion occur VISUALLY at the point of impact in which the bottle is struck by the coin? Yes (correct)

Can the coin and bottle be borrowed? - Yes (correct)

Is the Bottle shown CLEAN and CLEARLY EMPTY? - Yes (incorrect - just don't tell them what you will be doing first)

Can BOTH hands be shown completely empty? - Yes (incorrect - completely not true - can be shown empty like a card can be backpalmed and pivoted - they aint empty mate!)

Can just about any coin be used? - Yes (correct)

Can the coin can be Marked, or Signed for identification? - Yes (iffy on this one...it can be signed, but you have to fiddle a lot more and can't immediately hand the bottle out)

Are the moves completely natural from beginning to end? Yes (matter of opinion...I would say they are, with the non-signed version)

Any funny looking moves whatsoever? - No (once aga8in, a metter of opinion - I would agree when it comes to the non-signed version)

Any cuts, slits, or holes required? - No (correct)

Can the bottle cap be on the bottle during the penetration? - Yes (correct)

Does the bottle cap stays in full view throughout the entire penetration presentation? - Yes (correct)

Is the bottle cap CLEARLY shown to be on TIGHT and secure until it is twisted off only to find the coin SAFELY inside the bottle? Yes (correct)

Is the bottle also found not to be altered at all and is COMPLETELY in tact. - Yes (correct)

Is the bottle limited to just a certain known name spring water bottles. - No, many bottle can be used as you will see in the DVD (correct - I used an empty apple juice bottle yesterday)

Can you pick up just about any bottle and perform with ease? Yes, but some may require a little getting used to in practice (depends on the coin and bottle)

Can you can use BOTH clear & colored bottles? Yes (correct)

Any strings or magnets! - - No (correct)

Any sticky stuff applied or added? - No (correct)

Can you pretty much perform this anywhere and anytime? - Yes (matter of opinion)

Is everything examinable? - Yes (correct)

Is it REALLY 100% TOTALLY IMPROMPTU AND GIMMICKLESS? - Yes (not true. If you don't have a certain thing on you, you are screwed. This was advertised as impromptu, and isn't.)

Has been audience tested with amazing reactions? Yes, over and over (no comment - it certainly has been hyped)



Factory Sealed:

Can the coin be borrowed? - Yes (as long as it matches)

Can the coin be marked or initialed? - No. The point of this effect is the beauty of the visual penetration, not a detective-like examination of the process. That question comes from your mind, not the spectator's. We never heard it once in all the performances that were filmed, and there were a tremendous number of them that were shot. (yeah whatever. no you cant, basically)

Can the bottle be borrowed? - No (correct - at least they are honest about it)

Is it necessary for the coin to be marked or initialed? - No. The point of this effect is the beauty of the visual penetration, not a detective-like examination of the process. That question comes from your mind, not the spectator's. We never heard it once in all the performances that were filmed, and there were a tremendous number of them that were shot. (oh shut up)

Can the bottle be from a vending machine? - Yes. When you watch the DVD, dozens of "routine" ideas will flow from your mind. We at Team E continue to create our own personal routines everyday with Factory Sealed and have tons of fun doing so. We encourage you to do the same. (basically like you can perform ID with a borrowed deck...deck switch)

Can this be performed point blank right in front of your spectator's eyes? - Yes. (close up effect, it can be done as, yes)

Can it be performed surroundned - Yes ...there is a beautiful version included in the DVD which can be performed completely surrounded, and MAN does it get reactions. It's likely that you will perform this one more than any other version included on the DVD. (you can do it surrounded, depending on how you perform it)

Can the penetration take place in the dead center of the bottle when performing it surrounded? - Yes. (true, but the bottle has to be horizontal, so it is still at the bottom, effectively))

Is the factory sealed container clear? - Yes, completely. (no comment)

Can the label be removed? - Yes. (true)

Do the spectators actually SEE the penetration occur? - Yes, the slower the miracle is performed, the better. (iffy - they never see a penetration, but they will think that they did, depending on what variation you perform)

Can the spectators hold the bottle as the penetration occurs - Yes, we demonstrate and recommended this to generate a truly astonishing experience for your audience. (no comment)

Are gimmicks involved? - No. The effect in relation to its practicality is in perfect equilibrium. An absolute dream effect. (true)

Is everything immediately examinable after the miracle occurs? - Yes (same as indecent...examinable once you "clean up")

Are gimmicks involved? - No. (true)



Hope this has given you an idea above the hype and outright lies of E (impromptu bullet...if you have what you need on you )

For Factory Sealed is there any sticky stuff used For version 1 in the beginning of the demo and in the Horizontal version?

LIke what you said, it requires time lapses, so how can it be "on the spot'?

Btw, with classic misdirection and time lapses, you can make ANY CTB impromptu.

If a spectator just hand you the bottle on the spot, you cannot do the effect.

I've heard both DVDs are strikingly similar to ABYSS

Bullet is said to be the exact same thing as a version in Abyss. But Bullet has to be done with bottles with wide-mouth openings to use any coin, or must use small coins to use coke bottles.

And with Factory Sealed people say the seal of the bottle is not very convincing and must be opened by the magician and not the spectator.

These had so much hype, but most of the hype turns out to be not true.

Since I have Abyss the trailers didn't show anything that I don't already know but I'll still get them and let you know what I think.[/url]

Bullet is amazing..so many ways to execute it.
Waaay better than abyss..way better.

It can be done 100% Totally Impromptu, with a borrowed bottle and borrowed coin and the coin can even be signed.

Plus the penetration looks quite genuine..it enters the bottle right where it is struck.

You can even SHAKE the bottle befoe you penetrate the coin to prove empty.

The coin FLIES in and looks beautiful.
The magic lessons alone are worth it.

Factory Sealed has so many penetrations. The foundation is strong.
So many people verfied it is versatile for anything..big coin/sign coin...if you are a worker.

It is the original Factory Sealed by the originator that has been streamlined for absolute practicality and workability.

Many ways to slowly melt the coin. So visual and convincing.
Immediately examinable and clean.

Can even be displayed and perfomed completely surrounded with no gimmicks.

Bottle can be borrowed...set up can be done in seconds (even in front of people) takes practice, but it can be borrowed on the spot while others simply cannot.

There is a bona fide example where the miracle occurs right on the street, No Gimmicks, the penetration is done with multiple spectators around...one is actually holding the bottle... and the spec's experience is the best you could ever hope for. Another spec grabs the bottle inspects it immediately, tampers witth the cap a bit and ultimately says...he broke the seal.

These products are excellent. Designed for stunning magic.
So many magic lessons and subtleties along with the original groundwork.

Clearly the best thnking and so well tested.

Well, it's nice to see Effex and Gemzgo back. They are, arguably the same person.

And I may be out on a limb here, but as such please people, don't believe a word they/him/her says.

Dude! You know nothing! The CIB is one of the strongest effex out there man... it is implausible to the spectator how a kid with no skill or creativity at all can get a COIN into a BOTTLE... it'z a-maze-zing!

You need to learn sum hiztreeeee I think...

I have played with the CIB problem for a while now, finding the perfect method is like a puzzle, and at the moment i am using a method which i beleive to be similar to Prohibition, only using 1p or 2p instead of a bottle cap. I does look great, but is gimmicked.
I think its a bit dissmissive to simply say that any old method will do for this effect, because we all know there is a difference between a good trick and a great trick.

I've just watched the promotional videos for these at ellusionist, and i am left slightly flaggergasted at how slick their advertising has got, but aside from that i think the tricks themselves do look good.

I know ellusionist have an iffy track record, but they have contributed some great stuff to magic. Silver Dream springs to mind, as well as Mindbender. I particularly like the way they show the original creators videos too ( if they are indeed genuine).

I on on the very edge of buying these, mainly for the fact that Justin Miller is involved in the teaching, and im sure he will have some excellent presentational and handling advice which could be applied to the various other methods of the effect.

I think i will wait for more opinions on these to come in. It would only take a few more nods from the TM regulars and i would get my debit card out.

I am really tempted too now but cannot decide between Bullet or Factory Sealed. I was edging more towards FS but having read Blapsing_ Beards review I am leaning more towards Bullet.

Is there anyone in the UK going to stock this or do you have to go direct to Ellusionist?
