I love the superman....however it would help for us to know more about what other types of effects you do, etc. Linking one to another is important....I use my coin bender as an after effect and it follows in a flash so the coin is borrowed, signed, and in play the entire time....then the bend happens to finish off the routine. If you are thinking about it being something you just "hey watch this" and go.....it may work once but you will likely get your hands grilled on any repeat performances...so I find that it is incredible magic as an off-beat type of closer.

What else do you do?? Where and when are you hoping to use the new effect? These types of things will likely make the suggestions you receive more relavant and subsequently the purchase more useful and powerful.

You say that to everybody - LOL - but for the price, the cost of the supplies you need, the impromptu nature of it.....you are very right, it is quick and powerful.

Haha yeah I know mate, it's the perfect trick and I recommend it to anyone who'll even listen a little bit. I do this safe in the knowledge they'll never listen and will probably buy Bullet or something so my favourite piece remains safe but I can say I've given good advice. Winner all round!

Hi AP,

The cheapest way of performing stunning magic is using a deck of cards.

Idon't know if you do close-up or stage or whatever. But for close-up, look at Card Warp, pen thro note (quality metal version and not cheap plastic one), NFW, hopping halves, ESP deck, thought transmiter, the list goes on :?

If you want, PM me with your skills and magic knowledge so far and I'll offer suggestions.

Tenko.

i do mostly "street magic" i am in highschool so i do it with a close audience and very watchful eyes...i do sinful..stigmata..i know indecent but i have not mastered it..i do pen through dollar..i do revolution..i do best card trick ever...i am looking for something that has good angles but is amazing...cheap too because i cant spend to much money on it..i am very fond of card and coin tricks...i do all of the ellusionist street magic tutorial...i know fusion..i dont really have a routine i just do like moodini said " hey watch this" magic...i have IT and wax..i do alot.... a little suggestion...i like using things that i can just pick up at like a lunch table or just anywhere something that everyone has..

thank you

Torn and restored napkins.....classic, old-school, yet fun....learn an impromptu cup and ball routine that allows you to work with napkin balls and borrowed coffee cups and things....can look very good and with the impromptu setting you mentioned above it would look like you just through it together.

I like Dai Vernon's twisting the aces....it is completly impromptu but when handled correctly can be shocking. I think Tenko said Card Warp....couldn't agree more with that one. Do you carry a Cel phone? I have a fun effect where a selected card appears as a screen saver....silly but with the right "acting" it hits pretty good....especially on the street.

Get a card wallet.....it is useful for a reveal of almost any small object that you have vanished. Well worth the money and if you get one that you like you can actually use it as your regular wallet.

Take the advice from Bronz....learn Crazy mans handcuffs...would be good in a school setting as elastic bands can be found in any teachers desk and done impromptu.....maybe considering school as a venue, I have heard nothing but great things about Sankey's "paperclipped" and it would once again allow you to work your school setting in what appears to be an impromptu situation.

The tricks that everyone is telling you about are very inexpensive compared to everything else you seem to be buying. With the price of one trick (kaos) you could get a book with at least fifty effects, with each concept and deception broken down and which will arm you with a solid foundation in magic and deception. Ellusionist DVD's aren't the only source (or best source for that matter) of magic knowledge. I suggest buying Nicholas Einhorn's Encyclopedia of magic or Mark Wilson's Course. Since you seem to have the money, I would get the Tarbell course as well. All of them together (with smart shopping) should be around 200 bucks, or 7 ellusionist dvds. 7 E effects, or countless concepts, tips, and routines?

Your choice.

As far as bang for the buck goes, AND future development as a magician, I couldn't agree more strongly with Mark Wilson's Complete Course.
