First of all, that "fact" about goldschlager is total boll*cks, sorry to burst that bubble. The reason it gets you silly fairly quickly is more to do with the fact it's lovely, cinnamon-y and sweet, trickles down perfectly but also happens to be 40%

Secondly, Seige:

You did burst the bubble actually. I had fun telling this to the people of the pub

i used to make home made beer and wine from things ranging from oak leaves, home made barley wine added damsons, refermented with a super yeast as a damson "brandy" liquer. I went in for some of the older recipies. The strangest one I tried, (I don't feel oak leaves are that strange for a wine) was c**k Ale. It used a cooked chicken carcass, covered in wine left in the fridge for a few days, then fermented in beer for a day. Strained, then the beer was allowed to carry on fermenting. It tasted better than it sounds.

The problem was that if I asked someone that didn't know about my homebrew, I was likely to get punched if I asked if they wanted some c**k Ale!!!!
I guess this must be the only non vegitarian beer there is?

Fortunately not; most commercial beers have traces of fish (according to my veggie housemate, though that doesn't stop him!). I feel that every time I eat or drink, something should have died; that makes desert a little tricky, but I get round this by taking a bag of hamsters to restaurants with me and stamping on them as I eat.

Are you Dutch?

I just thought that might be why you enjoy hamster jam. :D

Not sure what isinglass is derived from, but this could be what your friend was referring to and is used to help in the clearing process.

taken regularly, MINGE can really put hairs on your chest.

It sounds to me like Beardy has never had a MINGE in his life.

TVR's are horrid drinks, we have them down in Brighton in a bar called 'the font' its the only place I know that does them (down here and back home) so its conforting (kinda) that some-one else knows about them :)

I prefer a good old Long Island Iced Tea though - good old cocktails - again coming back to the idea of a student loving booze :)
