Anyone here into The Fall?

Haven't listened to them for yonks but had a lot of their albums in the olden days of vinyl. Saw them live in the 80's when Brix was still in the group and since seen them occasionally at festivals. This is going back a good few years now, but they have done some great stuff especially "This Nation's Saving Grace" and "Bend Sinister". I think they went downhill after that.

Japan were another great band and some of Sylvian's solo work is superb too.

It's odd. When I was a young 'un my life absolutely revolved around music and clothes. In my time I have been a punk, a mod, a new romantic and an early goth. I have also run mod, northern soul, and jazz nights.

These days I really can't be bothered. Instead of listening to music and getting all hot under the collar, these days I'd rather read 13 steps by a roaring log fire while my pet raven nips affectionatly on my ear lobe. That's what floats my boat these days.

The sound of my trusty sniper shots ringing through the air. The frantic sound of men in battle. The cries for a medic. The rounds just missing me and satisfying thud as another body hits the floor.

Battle Field 2 you cant beat it now thats good sounds.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Crikey-ah, you have A... redeeming... feature-ah! (tee hee)

Here's a weird thing. I was sat here catching up on Talk Magic and chilling out to "Kangaroo" by This Mortal Coil. Suddenly, "Guest Informant" has just begun playing. Spookeh, eh?. Oooof, now it's "Jumping someone else's Train" by yer actual Cure. What a splendid evening it's turning out to be...

I loved "Life in Tokyo" Giorgio Moroder Remix.. in fact it was the very first thing I heard in true stereo on headphones and I couldn't believe my ears! How lucky I was for THAT to be the first!
I'm don't think what I was really enjoying was Japan, I suspect the bits I like are the Giorgio Moroder bits but hey-ho. I suspect true Japan is a bit "unsweetened" for my tastes.
