Would love advice on it :-)

I performed mostly in a skate park so the adiuo was bad and you could not here what I was saying during most of the tricks. So I did not put many full tricks in it. Love to read what ya think

Brandon,

Your video was a mix match of clips which showed very little. The only effect you showed from beginning to end was the ID which to me, was not performed very well. Appart from the fact you spelt it incorrectly on your vid :?

I'm not criticising, but I think there is a lot of work to do on your videos and put in effects you can do well.

Hey thanks a lot, I made this video about six months ago in which since then I have read the first two card college books and watched a lot of Micheal ammars videos. I would like to make a new video that is a little more professional and was wondering what I should stay away from. and what I should do.

Thanks for the helpful comments,

Brandon

OK I stopped watching that half way thru because there wasnt really any magic in it. Just reactions which are no good if we can't see what caused them.
Do a couple of good effects keep it short and sweet. Avoid the flashy video editing effects and spell check.

Good luck!

If you are doing it as a promo video, reaction shots are good. Also It needs to be shorter (1 to 1:30 mins)

As a promo vid it's good, the flashy camera work and reaction shots are cool, but the ID bit in the middle lets it down. For a promo, it KILLS the pace, and all of a sudden all the nice camera work vanishes.

Decide what you want to achieve with the vid. If you want to do a flashy, fast paced promo vid with lots of snappy changes and reaction shots, do it. If you want to show your magic ability, then take some time to do a few strong effects and film them well. You just need to focus a bit on what effect you're trying to achieve with the video.

Please please please spellcheck before you add any text, nothing screams "Amateur" more than spelling mistakes. Also, personally when filming tricks, I wouldn't put the names of the trick up, because they mean nothing to non magicians, and taking the ID as an example all you serve to do is draw attention to the deck, which is the last thing you want to do.

Still, all that said, I think you've done well, your production values are high and you can see you've put a lot of work in. Keep it up. :)

Yes you're seeing double.
Perhaps you should have a lie down.
