Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I perform a signed card to spectators wallet without using a duplicate card. I think it was Gary Kurtz that showed it to me so you may want to research some of his published material althought I don't think he ever published it.

Sorry to be off-topic
But Gary Curtz have inspired me a lot, he is the first magician i saw performing a professional show. He were awesome with coins and close up in general and his presentations are always strange and funny.
I use lots of idea i saw from him like the sharp card where he'd cut his arm with a card and you can see the blood. While you tripping out he just stop you saying dont worry there is a trick and then he show the razor blade sticked to the back of the card! Off course there is no scars and after the blood is wiped out there is no trace left but darn thats powerfull!

Hey, just realized you were from my home town. Gary influenced not really the way I perform, (as you know nobody can perform like Gary) but how I look at magic. Which worries me a little cause he collects insects as a hobby. *shudder*

There's an effect in 'The Tempest Concept' DVD that includes the signed card bit that you're after.
